Corby Beahm is a registered nurse and health counselor dedicated to holistic care and mind-body wellbeing. For over twenty years, she has researched and devoted herself to the challenges and the unique opportunities that mid life, late life and end of life presents. To that end, she conducts comprehensive interviews with individuals, families, and medical professionals in homes, hospitals, clinics, and senior living communities. She listens to, guides, and advocates for every person who seeks her services.

Prior to Corby’s focus on the special needs of the aging, she served as a health educator for women and an advocate in health care settings. Her interest and expertise evolved to encompass integrative medicine in the context of life-threatening illnesses. Caring for her aging mother brought about another crucial awakening. Even after years of working as an educator, care coordinator, and patient advocate, Corby was stunned by the steep learning curve to navigate effective geriatric services in a demanding and often fragile time of life.

Over the years, Corby has provided education and consultation across the USA and Canada to health directors and management teams, guiding integration of positive aging practices, optimizing use of community health resources, facilitating group seminars, and innovating and implementing sustainable health and wellness initiatives. At the American Society for Aging/National Council on Aging Annual Conferences, she presented Returning Sanctity to Aging as well as Caring for Aging Parents. She presented Integrating Whole Person Wellness into Culture Change at the Illinois Pioneer Summit.

Corby has credentials and compassion. She graduated from Emory University with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and earned her Master of Science in Counseling from Georgia State University. She is resolute in her pursuit to empower individuals and families to achieve their dynamic potential and wellbeing. She is prepared to work with clients to reach physical, social, emotional, intellectual, and spiritual vitality throughout their lives. Contact Corby for consultation, care coordination, or patient advocacy, and she will be your partner in achieving an abundant life.
