As a culture, we often institutionalize the most profound and sacred events of life—birth and death.
As an experienced doula and registered nurse, I provide a grounding force for mothers giving birth and for individuals and their loved ones during their dying time. In my experience, both processes require great courage and deep surrender, not only for the person involved, but for supporting family members and friends.
In our aging years, we now confront new challenges that did not exist 100 years ago in a largely family-centered culture. Many who face their dying days today are weary from years of exhaustive medical interventions and a cultural bias that dying itself is a failure or represents a failure. Of course, nothing could be further from the truth.
I offer you an opportunity to explore and embrace your final days with me, to help you prepare for the end of your life. Know that you will be in the presence of one who esteems your life and honors your death. I am here to help you achieve, and to help your family appreciate, the fullness and blessings to be gained in our ultimate days.
As a doula, nurse, and guide, working in concert with you, loved ones, and hospice, I can be with you, nurture you, and deepen the sanctity and comfort of your closing days on Earth.
